We have earned $17,000 already, so the kids have earned their prize of Spirit Wear Last Days!
From now on, the last day of every school week will be Spirit Wear Last Day. This means students can wear any BL shirt on top, and then wear free dress bottoms. If students choose not to participate, they will wear standard of dress on those days.
Please see page 27 of the parent-teacher handbook for the guidelines for free dress (i.e., leggings or tights only under a skirt or shorts, skirts and shorts no more than 4 inches above the knee, no holes, no pajama pants, etc.). Please let me know if you have any questions! Thanks!

FALL FEST IS HERE!
Our biggest fundraiser has arrived!
Fall fest is Bethlehem Lutheran School's annual fundraiser held each October. All proceeds from this year's event will be used for equipment or experiences that directly benefit our students. In order to make this a great success, we need you to collect pledges for your run at Fall Fest. Talk to friends, family, and neighbors. This is a wonderful way to share how much you love Bethlehem Lutheran School.
How do I collect Pledges?
Cash/ Check: pledges may be collected using your collection drive envelope. Simply fill out the form on the front of the packet and place the money or check inside.
online: New this year, each student will set up a personal Fundraising page through The Get Movin' Crew!
simply follow the steps below to set up your account:
1. Parents, visit www.TheGetMovinCrew.com and click the "Get Registered Parent Log in"
2. Click "create parent login" and create your account
3. Click "+Add Student" button in the top right corner to create a student profile for each of your students.
4. with your child, set a fundraising goal, add a fun photo, and a personalized message to make your profile stand out.
5. You're ready to go! start sharing the link to your fundraising page with anyone and everyone. You can share directly to Facebook or send an email directly to friends and family.
What do I do with the money?
Students are asked to turn in their pledge packets to their teachers every morning after collecting donations.
This helps out team keep track of funds raised and gets you entries for weekly prize drawing!

FIRST FULL WEEK!
THEY DID IT! They made it through the first full week of school. They covered so much.
They read about Frog and Toad and the Adventure they went on. They covered 10 new vocabulary words including; brave, mountain, snake, nighttime, crash, clutched, grasped, daybreak, and headfirst. They worked super hard on their first narrative and adding to the adventure of Frog and Toad, and that was just language arts.
They acted out The Great Flood and God's Promise to Abram. They learned all about the promise of the rainbow and the roadblocks that were in Abram's life.
They took their first Math Assessment and rocked it! We start Chapter two on Monday, look for the flyer.
They made Flap, Flitter and Pip and glued them in a nest, during art!
It was a busy week, but they did awesome!
Important Reminders:
Library books are due Monday! They will check out new ones.
Chapel offering for the first Trimester goes towards Operation Christmas Child.
Fall Fest Quick Assembly is Friday! Hard to believe that's starting!

Stellaluna
They dove in this week! They finished learning about how God Created the World and even acted out Cain and Abel. They moved right into math and cruised! They definitely love patterns. They covered pattern units, patterns, and numbers 0-20. They ROCK at Math! They started Their Language Arts unit and seem to really love it. They learned about story elements and applied what they learned to their book STELLALUNA! They even did a craft based on the book. In Social Studies, They learned all about school, their classroom, and school workers. They are HARD workers! Hopefully they rest up and get ready for their first full week!

- Homework is due on Friday of the week it is given.
- Read for 20-30 minutes each night (Monday through Thursday). Parents initial the Homework/Behavior sheet each night. Each day, it will be checked for initials.
