They spent the week studying how animals sleep, how animals use their tails, how animals use their eyes, ears, mouths, feet.... It was all about animals this week. They spent time asking and answering questions, writing facts, and comparing texts about animals. They lived in a world with horned lizards, dolphins, bats, eagles, scorpions, cats, elephants, platypus, hyenas... and the list goes on.

They rocked their Math assessment and have moved on to subtraction concepts! Bring on chapter three.

They also spent time learning about Operation Christmas Child at Chapel, and how it impact the children that receive the gifts. You can start sending in Operation Christmas Child supplies. They also spend time learning about The Passover, Crossing the Red Sea and Manna in the Wilderness.

THEY DID IT! They made it through the first full week of school. They covered so much.

They read about Frog and Toad and the Adventure they went on. They covered 10 new vocabulary words including; brave, mountain, snake, nighttime, crash, clutched, grasped, daybreak, and headfirst. They worked super hard on their first narrative and adding to the adventure of Frog and Toad, and that was just language arts.

They acted out The Great Flood and God's Promise to Abram. They learned all about the promise of the rainbow and the roadblocks that were in Abram's life.

They took their first Math Assessment and rocked it! We start Chapter two on Monday, look for the flyer.

They made Flap, Flitter and Pip and glued them in a nest, during art!
It was a busy week, but they did awesome!
